Products for Everyday Use
A great variety of adhesives are used every day. Toyo Ink is active in the field of adhesives, providing many useful products incorporating pressure-sensitive, film laminating, structural, and wax adhesives.
Pressure-sensitive adhesives are used for making such products as tags, labels, tapes, and marking films. Film laminating adhesives are produced mainly for the food packaging industry. Structural adhesives are highly regarded for their diverse range of applications, such as for glass objects and sound systems. Wax adhesives are employed in packaging and bookbinding and for sanitary items.
Toyo Ink's adhesives are used widely in the manufacturing and construction industries, and the Company is striving to increase its business in unique and special-use adhesives.

Oribain Series Adhesive
Toyo Ink's Oribain Series of Acrylic and polyurethane pressure-sensitive adhesives forms a secure, long-lasting bond when minimal pressure is applied. Recently, applications for both solvent- and water-based types have rapidly expanded. Present uses include labels, seals, adhesive tapes, masking sheet, forming agents, and antiscattering devices. Oribain adhesives are also used for applying marking film.

Film Laminating Products for Food Packaging
Toyo Ink manufactures and markets a polyurethane adhesive used for dry lamination of food packaging. Marketed under the brand name Adcote, the adhesive offers numerous benefits. The joint venture also produces an EVA-type heat sealing material used for covering containers and in medical-related packaging applications. Toyo Ink is working to find additional industrial uses for its dry-lamination technologies in such areas as automobile interiors, construction, PVC-coated steel sheets, and metal foil-PET flexible printed circuit boards.

Printed Laminated Products
Toyo Ink markets a special water-based adhesive for use in attaching plastic films to printed paper. This product has applications in the manufacture of book covers and shopping bags and has won acclaim for meeting diverse industrial needs.

Extrusion Lamination Primers
The Company markets a variety of primers-including imino, inocianate, polyurethane, and butadiene types-for different uses.

Other Adhesive Related Products
Demand for water-based acrylic paints, especially that for elastic versions for use primarily in exterior building applications, is growing rapidly. Lucidene binders for water-based inks, Mor-Flo floor-polishing agents, and Mor-Flo 40, a coating agent for concrete.

Hot-Melt Related Products
Toyo Petrolite Co., Ltd., a joint venture formed with Petrolite Co., of the United States, Manufactures and markets waxes, wax compounds, and Hot-Melt adhesives. Distinguished by their moisture resistance and flexibility, Hot-Melt adhesives are used for lamination, cap, sealing, labeling, cardboard box assembly, sanitary napkin production, and bookbinding.
